Terms of Service

Effective Date: 21 June 2026

Last Updated: 21 June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Will You Be Home For Dinner ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Antigravity. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Will You Be Home For Dinner is a free iOS application that helps families coordinate their dinner plans. The App allows family members to:

  • Set a daily dinner status — indicate whether they will be Home for Dinner, Cooking Dinner, Not Home, or Not Sure
  • Share a family group — create a shared family space that other household members can join via an invite link
  • Send messages and pings — exchange short messages and quick pings with family members
  • Manage family events — record and share family occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and special dinners
  • Receive notifications — get reminders to update dinner plans and alerts when family members post updates
  • Integrate with the device calendar — optionally import birthdays and anniversaries from your iPhone calendar, and export events back to it

Free App

Will You Be Home For Dinner is a free application. There are no subscription tiers, in-app purchases, or premium features. We do not charge you any fees and do not collect payment information.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

3.1 iCloud Requirement

The App uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to sync family data. To use the core features of the App, you must:

  • Have an Apple ID with an active iCloud account
  • Be signed in to iCloud on your device
  • Have sufficient iCloud storage to hold your family's data

If you are not signed in to iCloud, the App will prompt you to do so. Family data cannot be synced without an active iCloud account.

3.2 Age

The App is intended for use by families. Users of all ages may use the App within a family group, provided that:

  • Children under 13 use the App under parental supervision
  • A parent or guardian creates and manages the family group

By using the App, you confirm that you are either aged 13 or over, or are using the App under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3.3 No User Account with Us

You do not create an account with Antigravity. Your identity in the App is determined by your iCloud account and the profile you set up (display name and role). We do not hold usernames, passwords, or email addresses.

4. Family Groups and Data Sharing

4.1 Creating a Family Group

When you create a family group, a shared CloudKit zone is created within your iCloud account. You become the owner of that zone. Your family's dinner responses, messages, pings, and events are stored in this zone.

4.2 Inviting Family Members

As the group owner, you can generate a CloudKit share link with read/write access. When you share this link, any person who opens it on an iPhone can join your family group and access its shared data.

Important: Only share your family invite link with trusted family members. Anyone with the link can join the group and read/write all shared family data.

4.3 Joining a Family Group

When you join a family group using an invite link, you:

  • Gain access to the shared family zone, including all existing responses, messages, pings, and events
  • Grant the other family members access to data you post (your dinner responses, messages, pings)
  • Accept that your display name will be visible to all members of the group

4.4 Leaving a Family Group

You can leave a family group at any time by using Settings → Leave Family / Reset. This removes your locally cached data. Your shared data (responses, messages, etc.) may remain visible to other family members in iCloud until the zone owner deletes the zone.

4.5 Group Owner Responsibilities

If you are the family group owner:

  • You are responsible for managing who has access to your family zone
  • Deleting the App from the owner's device does not immediately remove the shared iCloud zone
  • You can manage and delete your iCloud data through icloud.com or your device's iCloud settings

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial, family coordination purposes in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App to harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other family members
  • Post false, misleading, offensive, or harmful content in family messages
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's iCloud data or account
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated tools (bots or scrapers) to interact with the App
  • Use the App for any commercial or business purpose
  • Share family invite links publicly or with people outside your immediate family without consent from all members
  • Use the App in any way that violates Apple's App Store Guidelines or iCloud Terms of Service

5.3 Enforcement

If you misuse the App, we may ask you to stop. Because data is stored in your iCloud account and not on our servers, we have limited technical ability to enforce restrictions, but we reserve the right to take appropriate action including updating the App to revoke or restrict functionality.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to software code, algorithms, logic, UI design, graphics, icons, colour schemes, and the name "Will You Be Home For Dinner" are owned by Antigravity or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and install the App on iOS devices you own or control, and use the App for personal, non-commercial family coordination purposes.

This licence does not permit you to modify, copy, redistribute, create derivative works, extract source code, or remove proprietary notices.

6.3 User Content

Content you create within the App (your display name, dinner responses, messages, events, notes) remains yours. You grant Antigravity no rights over your content. We cannot access, read, or use your content because it is stored exclusively in your iCloud account.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Apple Services

The App relies on the following Apple services:

  • Apple iCloud / CloudKit — for storing and syncing family data
  • Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — for delivering notifications
  • Apple EventKit (Calendar) — for optional calendar integration

Your use of these services is also subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions and Apple's Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Apple's services, availability, or practices.

7.2 No Other Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, payment processors, or other third-party services. All functionality is provided through Apple's native iOS frameworks.

8. Notifications

8.1 Optional Notifications

Push notifications are optional. The App may send reminders to update dinner plans, alerts for status updates, new messages, pings, and event reminders.

8.2 Managing Notifications

You can enable or disable the daily reminder within the App (Settings → Daily Dinner Reminder). You can disable all App notifications in your iOS device Settings at any time.

9. Calendar Integration

9.1 Optional Feature

Calendar integration is entirely optional. The App will only access your calendar if you explicitly grant permission.

9.2 What We Import

With your permission, the App reads your device calendar locally to find and import birthdays, anniversaries, and dinner-related events into your family events list. No calendar data is sent to Antigravity.

9.3 What We Export

With your permission, the App can write family events (e.g. a special family dinner) to your device's default calendar.

9.4 Revoking Calendar Access

You can revoke calendar access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → Will You Be Home For Dinner.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

10.1 "As Is" Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that the App will be bug-free, that data will sync without delay, or that iCloud service will be uninterrupted (Apple operates iCloud, not us).

10.2 No Liability for Missed Dinners or Family Disruptions

The App is a coordination tool only. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or timeliness of the information displayed. We are not liable for any consequences arising from family members not receiving, reading, or acting on dinner plan information provided through the App.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANTIGRAVITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF PROFITS.

Because the App is free, our maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed AU$10 (ten Australian dollars).

10.4 Jurisdictional Variations

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable Australian Consumer Law or equivalent legislation.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Antigravity and its representatives from any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or content you post in the family group that causes harm to others.

12. iCloud Dependency and Service Availability

12.1 Reliance on Apple iCloud

The App's cloud functionality depends on Apple iCloud. We have no control over iCloud availability or performance and are not liable for service interruptions or data loss caused by changes to iCloud or Apple's policies.

12.2 App Updates

We may release updates to fix bugs or adapt to changes in iOS. We recommend keeping the App up to date. We are not responsible for problems arising from your use of an outdated version.

12.3 App Discontinuation

We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time. Because your data is stored in your own iCloud account, it will remain accessible to you through iCloud even if the App is discontinued.

13. Changes to the Service

We may modify the App's features at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through App Store release notes or within the App.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App and delete it from your device at any time. To fully remove your family group data, use Settings → Leave Family / Reset before deleting the App, and then manage your iCloud data through your device settings or icloud.com.

14.2 Termination by Us

Because we do not operate user accounts, we cannot terminate individual accounts. However, we may release App updates that remove access to certain features if necessary for legal or operational reasons.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.2 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing a formal claim, please contact us at office@keepingupwithtechnology.com. We will respond within 30 days.

15.3 Formal Disputes

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved in accordance with Australian law through an appropriate court of competent jurisdiction, consumer tribunal, or small claims court in Australia.

16. General Provisions

Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters or Apple service disruptions.

Age Restrictions: Users between 13 and 18 years old should use the App with parental awareness and consent.

17. Apple App Store Compliance

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Antigravity, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App. You must comply with Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

18. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated within the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

19. Feedback

We welcome feedback and suggestions at office@keepingupwithtechnology.com. Providing feedback is voluntary and grants us no obligation to you.
