When you set up and use the App, you provide the following information:

Your Profile

  • Display name — the name you choose to appear as in your family group (e.g. "Mum", "Dad", "Sarah")
  • Role — whether you are a Parent or Child in the family
  • Colour preference — a colour used to identify you in the app's interface

Dinner Responses

  • Daily status — whether you will be Home for Dinner, Cooking, Not Home, or Not Sure
  • Guest count — optional number of guests
  • Response note — optional short text note

Family Messages & Pings

  • Message content — text messages you send to your family group
  • Ping message — optional short message when you send a ping

2. Information Collected Automatically

  • iCloud Identity: The App reads your iCloud user record name to associate your profile with your account.
  • Local App State: Notification preferences, reminder times, and timestamps of seen messages.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to provide core functionality:

  1. Displaying dinner plans for the household.
  2. Delivering messages and pings via iCloud.
  3. Managing shared family events and birthdays.
  4. Sending reminders and updates via notifications.
  5. Enabling offline functionality via local caching.

Data Storage Locations

Your Device (Local Cache)

A JSON copy of your family data is cached locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data is removed when you leave the family or delete the App.

Apple iCloud (CloudKit)

All family data is stored and synced through Apple iCloud using CloudKit. Antigravity does not have access to your iCloud data.
