Terms of Service for Markdown Manager

1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to MarkdownManager (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
The App is developed and operated by Keeping Up With Technology (Pty Ltd) ("we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
2. Description of Service
MarkdownManager is a native Markdown editor for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. It provides:
- Syntax-highlighted Markdown editing.
- Live split-pane rendered previews (GFM support).
- Document library management with search, sorting, and pinning.
- iCloud synchronization across your devices.
- Export functionality for .md, HTML, and PDF formats.
3. License and Use
3.1 License Grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.
3.2 Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Redistribute or sell the App or any of its components.
4. Payment and Subscriptions
4.1 One-Time Purchase
MarkdownManager is offered as a one-time purchase. There are no recurring monthly or annual subscription fees. Once purchased, you are entitled to use the current version and all updates provided for your platform.
4.2 No In-App Purchases
There are no additional features locked behind in-app purchases. The price paid at the time of purchase includes the full functionality of the App.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are handled exclusively through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card or billing information. All refund requests must be directed to Apple Support.
5. Data and Storage
5.1 Storage Limits
MarkdownManager does not impose a maximum character limit or document count. Your ability to save and sync documents is limited only by your available local device storage and your personal Apple iCloud quota.
5.2 iCloud Sync
The synchronization feature uses your private iCloud account via CloudKit. You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the performance, reliability, or availability of Apple's iCloud services.
5.3 Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App. We do not have access to your data and do not claim any rights over it.
6. Disclaimers
6.1 "As Is" Basis
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6.2 No Liability for Data Loss
While we strive to provide a stable editing environment, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your important documents. We are not liable for any loss of data, whether caused by software bugs, hardware failure, or iCloud synchronization issues.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KEEPING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY (PTY LTD) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OF THE APP, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms.
9. App Store Compliance
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Keeping Up With Technology (Pty Ltd) only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce them against you.
